Tailgate season is in full swing and this year make sure that you have the essentials that you will need for the perfect tailgating party! Of course, if you have a pickup truck you have a built-in party area in the bed liner but no worries not all of us have trucks so a trunk is just as good.
The first thing that you need for your party is the invitations. Make sure to be very detailed in your invitation such as location, time and date. Also, if it’s themed to be sure to tell them to be dressed in their best gear for a Spirit picture.

Some other items that you may need are:

  • -        Utensils (If possible Disposables would be best)
  • -         Food (we suggest sticking to finger foods or basic grilling items like smoked sausages, burgers, hotdogs, chips and dip)
  • -          Decorations (you don’t have to go all out on this – after all the focus is either the game or the race whichever you’re tailgating for.)
  • -          Ice (Freeze water bottles beforehand to use instead of ice – when they thaw you will also have cold drinking water)
  • -          Grill (don’t worry about setting up your large gas grill a stationary one to fit on your truck bed or table will work just fine)
  • -          Chairs/foldable tables
  • -          Music (just bringing a Bluetooth speaker would work just fine)
  • -          Flat screen or blowup tv screen for a projector (this is only if you need it. If you’re at the event there is no need for it.)

The main goal here is to enjoy the event while having fun with friends and family over a great meal. So, you don’t have to worry about everything being perfect but what you may need to worry about is the safety of those coming to and leaving from your tailgating party. Make sure that you remind your loved ones to always safely put on their seatbelts whenever they are driving or riding in a vehicle. We hope this article helped you in two ways:

1.       To setup one awesome tailgating party
2.       To always know and use seatbelt safety.

  1. These are great ideas! I need to get a projector. We love to "tailgate" with friends in the backyard. Having the game on a HUGE screen would be awesome!

  2. While I don't watch sports, I do love hanging out with our friends, so hosting a sport's viewing party would definitely be something my husband and I would do (he doesn't watch sports except golf either) - ha!

  3. No doubt seat belts are always used by my family and myself! Thank you for bringing focus to this! We love tailgating and I agree with all of your suggestions! It is important to make it about the game and not worry too much about going overboard on decor. Wearing spirit jersey's is just right! I love the idea of a spirit picture of the group!

Tailgating party sounds interesting and exciting. It looks so simple because you don't need to put any decorations. and it looks great.
